About MindHue

The thinking behind the app

What it's for

MindHue is a place to put a thought down before it has to become a decision. You write freely — no prompts to perform for, no one reading over your shoulder — and as you write, each sentence takes on a color. When you're done, the session becomes a small piece of abstract art: a shape made from what was actually on your mind, not a summary of it.

It isn't therapy, and it doesn't try to be. It's closer to a breath before you respond — a few minutes of writing, breathing, or reflecting that gives a feeling somewhere to go besides in circles.

Colors are reflections, not grades

As you write, MindHue gives each thought a color — red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple. These colors are not scores. There is no good or bad color, no high or low emotion, and the app never rates how you feel. We arrange your colors the only way nature does: in the order of the rainbow, from warm to cool. Your Rhythm simply shows where on that spectrum your saved sessions have been — like light through a prism, it reflects what's there without judging it. Every color belongs. A red day is not a worse day; it is a color of a full life.

Built to stay private

What you write is never stored — not on our servers, not anywhere. If you save a piece of art, only its date and color sequence are kept, and they stay on your device. There are no analytics, no ad trackers, and nothing about your writing is ever sold or shared. Full detail on exactly what's collected and what isn't lives on the Privacy Policy.

A living practice

MindHue keeps growing the way the practice behind it does. The Library collects the books, research, and tools that shaped how it thinks about mindfulness — not as marketing, just as a record of what actually helped.
